GAZA : The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has warned that the amount of food reaching Gaza is dangerously inadequate, raising fears of worsening famine across the enclave.
The agency said it currently manages to deliver around 100 trucks of food aid per day, a fraction of the 600 trucks that entered Gaza daily during the recent ceasefire. The drastic shortfall has left vast numbers of families without reliable access to food.
“The current flow of aid is not sufficient to stop famine from spreading,” the WFP said, stressing that immediate and unhindered access is essential to scale up operations.

Humanitarian groups have long cautioned that restrictions on aid deliveries, combined with ongoing insecurity, are deepening one of the most severe food crises the region has faced in decades. The WFP reiterated its appeal for additional border crossings to be opened and for safe passage guarantees to allow a significant increase in supplies.
