Tokyo — His Excellency Dr. Mahad bin Said bin Ali Baowain, Minister of Labour, concluded an official visit to Japan that spanned several days, aimed at exploring international best practices in labor, training, and human resource development. The visit comes within the framework of strengthening bilateral cooperation and advancing the goals of Oman Vision 2040.

During his stay, His Excellency held discussions with Her Excellency Yoko Wanibuchi, Minister of State for Health, Labour, and Social Affairs of Japan. The two sides reviewed prospects for collaboration in preparing and developing human resources, in addition to sharing expertise in training and employment policies.

Talks also touched on the importance of building national capacities and equipping the workforce with the skills required for future labour markets. Both parties emphasized the value of exchanging knowledge and experience to support sustainable economic development and create opportunities for young professionals.

The visit underlines Oman’s commitment to international partnerships in advancing labor and training systems, while ensuring alignment with its long-term development strategies under Vision 2040.
