NEW DELHI – A large section of land near Sawai Madhopur collapsed, forming a massive crater and cutting off key access roads. Entire villages, including Surwal, Dhanoli, Gujur, Jadavata, Shesha, and Machipora, were submerged, with hundreds of homes inundated, according to a report by the Times of India.
The severe weather has forced mass evacuations, with many residents seeking refuge on rooftops. There are critical shortages of food and drinking water, and ongoing relief efforts are being hampered by damaged infrastructure and blocked roads.
The Lal Sot Kota Expressway was also flooded and could only be used by tractors and trolleys, severely disrupting traffic in and out of the flood-affected areas.

The 24-hour rains in the Dausa region caused massive destruction, with roads in low-lying areas turning into rivers and entire neighbourhoods and government offices submerged.
