Muscat: In a recent case handled by the Consumer Protection Authority, a consumer who purchased a vehicle through a social media advertisement in Al Suwaiq reported multiple defects upon delivery. Following the complaint, the CPA intervened and facilitated an amicable settlement between the two parties. The resolution involved the cancellation of the sales contract and the reimbursement of RO 1,450 to the consumer.
