Muscat: Published in Issue No. 1610 of the Official Gazette on Sunday, August 24, 2025, Ministerial Resolution No. 2025/143 authorises specific employees in North Al Batinah to act as judicial police officers within their jurisdictions.
Under the resolution, the designated officials are empowered to enforce provisions of the Land Law and the Food Safety Law, along with the regulations and decisions issued under them. Their authority also extends to enforcing Article (168) bis of the Penal Code.
According to the Ministry, the move strengthens local governance by enhancing the capacity of officials to directly uphold legal standards and protect public interests in the governorate.
