MUSCAT : According to an official statement, the arrests were made during a coordinated operation aimed at curbing illegal infiltration through land routes. The individuals, all of African origin, were found to have entered the Sultanate without proper documentation or authorization.
Authorities also detained an Omani citizen suspected of transporting the group by land and aiding in their unauthorized entry into the country. Legal procedures are currently underway against all parties involved.
