MUSCAT – According to the Oman Meteorology Department, radar images indicate rainfall of varying intensity along the coastal strip of Dhofar Governorate and the adjacent mountains, with some areas experiencing thunderstorms.
Authorities have urged residents and visitors to exercise caution, especially in areas prone to flash flooding.
The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has also issued a public advisory, warning citizens and residents to avoid marine activities due to high sea waves along the coast.
“Be careful when the sea waves are high. Avoid swimming, sea trips, going out fishing. For your safety, please follow the weather bulletins issued by the official authorities,” the ROP stated.
