MUSCAT: Vodafone is likely to begin operations as Oman’s third mobile network operator in 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology said on Sunday.
Last year, a 15-year strategic agreement was signed between Oman Future Telecommunication and British company Vodafone to start operations in Oman. On Sunday, the Ministry was responding to a query on social media regarding the Vodafone’s plans.
With 700 million mobile customers, Vodafone Group has mobile operations in 25 countries, partners with mobile networks in 44 more, and fixed broadband operations in 19 markets.
