Muscat: The Royal Oman Police announced today that the Directorate General of Criminal Investigations and Research, working closely with the National Central Bureaus of both Oman and the UAE, has tracked down and extradited an Asian national who had escaped the country after committing several financial crimes while employed at a commercial company in Oman.
The suspect was arrested in the UAE and transferred back to Oman under international cooperation protocols. He is accused of embezzling company funds and forging documents during his time with the company, before fleeing the country to avoid prosecution.
Authorities confirmed that all necessary legal procedures are being completed against the individual, who will now face justice under Omani law.
