Muscat: Acting on the royal orders of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Royal Court Affairs has announced the opening of the tourist track at Razat Sultaniya Farm in Dhofar Governorate. Starting Monday, visitors will be able to explore this modern agricultural marvel spread across tropical fields, fruit orchards, and dairy production zones, all managed using advanced technical and scientific standards.

Visitors will be transported via designated buses from the reception hall, with tour guides accompanying them through the farm’s key stations, culminating at an integrated visitor center with full facilities. Tickets can be booked in advance at razatfarm.gov.om, with reservations starting Sunday, August 17.

The initiative aims to position the farm as a national example of agricultural tourism, while also highlighting its contribution to local food security and economic development.

Simultaneously, the Al Jabal Al Akhdar Park in Seih Qatna, Wilayat of Al Jabal Al Akhdar, will open to the public, marking a major addition to the region’s tourism and entertainment landscape.

Spanning 20,000 square meters and built at a cost exceeding RO 1.1 million, the park features a 1,000 sqm children’s play area, walking trails, investment zones with cafés and shops, electric games, prayer rooms, and an open-air theatre. Over 150 trees and 400 shrubs have been planted to enhance the green landscape.

His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Mansour Al Ghafili, Wali of Al Jabal Al Akhdar, emphasized that the park aligns with national goals for sustainability, economic diversification, and community wellbeing. It also supports small and medium enterprises and provides local job opportunities.

Engineer Mohammed bin Ali Al Wardi from Al Dakhiliyah Municipality highlighted the park as part of a broader plan to position Al Jabal Al Akhdar as a model for sustainable tourism, balancing nature conservation with urban development.
