Since ancient times, Oman and India have developed strong bonds of commercial, social, cultural and human interactions. India-Oman relationship, dating back to centuries of maritime trade, cultural exchange, and mutual respect, has evolved into a comprehensive strategic partnership. Today, as both our nations embark on ambitious journeys of development and transformation – Oman with its Vision 2040 and India with its ‘Amrit Kal’, our synergy is more profound than ever. This convergence in national priorities, policy architecture, and implementation models presents a promising avenue for deeper India-Oman cooperation across sectors including health, education, technology, environment, economic diversification, and governance. A defining feature of the approach of our countries is people-centric development.

A key pillar of mutually beneficial bilateral collaboration has been the vibrant Indian community in Oman. Through the dint of their hard work, diligence and cultural contributions, they have enriched Omani society, creating a unique bond between the people of India and Oman.

Building on the strong foundation of strategic partnership, India would work with Oman to explore and apitalize on mutually beneficial synergies between Oman’s Vision 2040 and India’s ambition of Viksit Bharat by 2047. As both countries are celebrating 70 years of diplomatic relationship this year, it is an apt occasion to rededicate ourselves to take the bilateral relationship to newer heights.
