Oman’s 3–5 star hotel revenues jump 18.2% by end of June 2025

Revenues generated by three- to five-star hotels in Oman saw an 18.2 percent increase, reaching approximately RO 141.21 million by the end of June 2025, compared to around RO 119.50 million during the same period in 2024.

MUSCAT : Data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) revealed a 9.2 percent rise in the number of guests at these hotels, with the total reaching 1,142,702 guests by the end of June 2025, up from 1,046,224 guests recorded in the same period of 2024.

Occupancy rates at 3–5 star hotels also improved significantly, climbing to 54.7 percent by the end of June 2025, compared to 47.8 percent during the same period last year – a 14.4 percent increase.
In terms of guest nationalities, Oceanian tourists recorded the highest growth rate, rising by 57.9 percent to reach 24,681 guests. They were followed by African visitors, who increased by 40.6 percent to 7,794 guests.

Guests from the Americas rose by 22.3 percent to 39,293, while European arrivals climbed by 20.1 percent, totalling 358,190 guests. The number of visitors from Gulf countries grew by 10.6 percent to 83,140, and Omani guests increased by 5.7 percent to 384,222.


Asian nationalities saw a modest increase of 2.4 percent, reaching 163,286 guests. However, the number of guests from other Arab countries declined by 1.4 percent, falling to 48,453 by the end of June 2025.
