MUSCAT – The ROP stated that its Directorate General for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, in cooperation with the Directorate General of Customs, managed to arrest two individuals of Asian nationality while they were in the process of sending over fifteen kilogrammes of opium to a European country through a shipping company.
“This was after a precise tracking operation of a shipment of water pumps coming from an Asian country, inside which the drugs were professionally concealed by an international gang,” the ROP reported.
Legal procedures are being completed against the arrested individuals.
