MUSCAT – In a statement following its previous announcement on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, concerning reports of some insurance companies raising third-party vehicle insurance premiums, the FSA, as the Sultanate of Oman’s official regulatory and supervisory body for the insurance sector, emphasised its commitment to protecting consumers.
“The Financial Services Authority, in its capacity as the official regulatory and supervisory body for the insurance sector in the Sultanate of Oman, confirms that it has not issued any approvals to any insurance company to raise vehicle insurance premiums. It will take firm legal action against any insurance company that does not adhere to the prices announced and approved by the Authority,” the statement read.
The FSA urged consumers with any inquiries or complaints regarding vehicle insurance prices to contact the Authority directly through its official channels.
