MUSCAT – The Royal Oman Police Aviation unit carried out a mission to transport the body of the Omani victim from Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah to Liwa in North Batinah Governorate following the incident.
Reports indicate that the collision involved two vehicles travelling at high speeds, with surveillance camera footage widely shared online capturing the violent impact on a road frequently used by those journeying to Salalah.
This latest devastating incident follows closely on the heels of another fatal multi-vehicle crash just weeks prior on Sultan Said bin Taimur Road near Maqshan in Dhofar. The Royal Oman Police confirmed that earlier incident involved three vehicles and claimed five lives.
