New Delhi: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has confirmed the appointment of Jamil, a prominent figure in Indian football, known for his stints with iconic clubs such as East Bengal and Mohun Bagan. Currently coaching Jamshedpur FC in the Indian Super League, Jamil will step into the national role to lead a team that has struggled to make an impact on the international stage.
While the AIFF has yet to announce the exact date of Jamil’s takeover, his appointment signals a shift towards experienced domestic leadership. With a reputation for tactical discipline and player development, Jamil is expected to bring much-needed structure and energy to the Indian squad.
