THAILAND : The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has officially advised against visiting several popular destinations across seven border provinces due to ongoing unrest.
In a travel advisory issued on July 24, 2025, TAT highlighted that attractions in Ubon Ratchathani, Surin, Sisaket, Buriram, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi, and Trat provinces are currently not recommended for tourists. The advisory comes as a precaution following increased tensions and security concerns near the Thai-Cambodian frontier.

Ubon Ratchathani: Phu Chong-Na Yoi National Park, Kaeng Lamduan, and Chong An Ma Checkpoint.
Surin: Historic temple sites such as Prasat Ta Muen Thom, Prasat Ta Kwai, and several border forests and checkpoints.
Sisaket: Khao Phra Wihan National Park and areas near Kantharalak.
Buriram: Chong Sai Taku, Ta Phraya National Park, and zones near Ban Kruat.
Sa Kaeo: Border markets and checkpoints near Aranyaprathet and Khlong Hat.
Chanthaburi and Trat: Multiple checkpoints and routes adjacent to the Cambodian border.
The TAT has urged travelers to stay updated by contacting local provincial offices and to avoid travel to these high-risk areas.
