DUBAI : According to Indian media reports, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has finalized plans for the 17-day continental championship to begin on September 5, with blockbuster India-Pakistan encounters slated for September 7 (group stage), September 14 (Super Fours), and — if both teams qualify — a grand finale on September 21.
An ACC source told PTI that the tournament will proceed as scheduled, and BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia noted that an official announcement will be made in the coming days.
The ACC’s annual general meeting, held in Dhaka, was attended virtually by the BCCI, which is the designated host of the tournament, while the UAE will serve as the neutral venue for logistical ease and broader accessibility.
