MUSCAT : The operation, conducted by the Police Coast Guard Command in cooperation with the Directorate General for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, followed a precise tracking of the vessel.
Authorities reported that the smuggling boat, originating from the Islamic Republic of Iran, was attempting to evade police patrols as it entered Omani territorial waters.
“The crew, consisting of three Pakistani infiltrators, was arrested off the coast of the Wilayat of Qurayyat possessing over 70 kilograms of hashish. Legal procedures are being completed against them,” the ROP stated.
