MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has appointed Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef as the new Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment Promotion.
On Tuesday, His Majesty restructured the cabinet including merging many ministries and government bodies.
Qais who was previously the chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce thanked His Majesty and said he will work towards achieving the 2040 vision goals. “I would like to thank His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik for appointing me. I will work towards achieving Oman’s Vision 2040 as desired by His Majesty the Sultan,” he wrote on his official Twitter account.
