MUSCAT – According to a statement issued by the Royal Oman Police (ROP), the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations, in cooperation with the Special Tasks Police Unit in Bausher, arrested the three individuals “for their involvement in committing the crime of human trafficking against women of the same nationality.”
The ROP indicated that the women were lured and coerced into prostitution. During the operation, authorities discovered six women — of Bangladeshi, Thai, and Laotian nationalities — residing at the suspects’ premises and found engaging in acts deemed contrary to morals and public decency.
The ROP confirmed that legal procedures are currently underway against the arrested individuals.
