MUSCAT – In recognition of its unwavering commitment to implementing the highest standards of health and safety, Sohar Port and Freezone has won the 2025 Gold Award for Excellence in Health and Safety from the RoSPA, for the second consecutive year

Winning this award, which is now in its 68th year, from the largest and most important health and safety program in the United Kingdom, highlights Sohar Port and Freezone’s commitment to instilling and promoting an operational culture based on safety, efficiency, and sustainability. What makes this achievement special is that the awards are annually contested by approximately 2,000 organisations from 50 countries, representing more than 7 million employees worldwide.
In this context, Engineer Batti Al Shibli, Harbour Manager at Sohar Port and Freezone, said: “We are proud to have been awarded the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RSPA) Award for the second year in a row.
