Indian Embassy in Muscat to provide consular, passport and visa services through SGIVS Global

SGIVS Global Services will open 11 dedicated application centres across Oman to provide consular, passport and visa services to the Indian community.

MUSCAT: The Indian Embassy has announced that starting from July 1, 2025, SGIVS Global Services LLC will officially take over the handling of passport and visa services. Initially, services will continue at the Embassy premises located in Al Khuwair.

To enhance accessibility and streamline services, 11 new Application Centres will be opened across Oman in key locations including Muscat, Salalah, Sohar, Ibri, Sur, Nizwa, Duqm, Ibra, Khasab, Buraimi, and Barka. These centres are expected to be fully operational by August 15, 2025.

The Embassy has cautioned that there may be temporary disruptions during this transition and has urged all applicants to plan accordingly. They are advised to stay updated through the Embassy’s official website and social media platforms.

The Embassy also expressed appreciation for the cooperation and understanding of applicants during this period of service enhancement.
