MUSCAT : Both carriers have outlined rerouting measures and advised passengers to stay updated on flight schedules.
In a statement on Tuesday, Air India announced it will progressively resume its flights to the Middle East starting today, following the partial reopening of airspace in the region. Most services to and from the Middle East are expected to operate as normal from June 25.
Additionally, flights to and from Europe, which had been previously suspended, are also being reinstated. The airline said that services to the U.S. East Coast and Canada will follow shortly, depending on airspace assessments.

“Some flights may experience delays or cancellations due to consequential impacts and extended re-routings/flight times, but we are committed to minimising disruptions and restoring our schedule integrity. Air India will continue to avoid airspaces assessed as unsafe at any given time. We will keep passengers informed of any updates and sincerely appreciate their understanding. The safety and security of our passengers, staff, and aircraft remain our top priority,” stated the airline advisory.
Meanwhile, IndiGo Airlines confirmed that flight operations across Gulf destinations have stabilised and are running on schedule. However, due to ongoing airspace restrictions over Iran, some routes may be adjusted, resulting in longer travel times.
Passengers are advised to monitor their flight status closely for real-time updates and changes. IndiGo has assured travellers that it is actively supporting passengers to ensure a smooth and safe travel experience.
“We recommend keeping a close watch on your flight status for the latest updates. Rest assured, we are here to assist you and ensure smooth facilitation throughout your journey.
