WASHINGTON : Taking to Truth Social, Trump wrote in all caps: “EVERYONE, KEEP OIL PRICES DOWN. I’M WATCHING! YOU’RE PLAYING RIGHT INTO THE HANDS OF THE ENEMY. DON’T DO IT!” The message, though lacking specifics, appeared to target oil companies or investors responding to geopolitical tensions with market speculation.

The post comes just days after a U.S.-led strike on Iranian nuclear infrastructure raised fears of potential disruption in global oil supply. While Iran remains one of the world’s key oil producers, industry analysts have played down immediate concerns, suggesting no significant crude supply interruptions are expected.
