BAHRAIN : The Civil Service Bureau has issued a directive activating remote work for 70 percent of the workforce across all ministries and government agencies. This measure, effective today and until further notice, exempts only those sectors where in-person attendance is critical or which operate under special emergency protocols essential for public safety.

As the Bureau’s statement specified, the decision was made “in light of the regional circumstances and current developments.”

Complementing this, Bahrain’s Ministry of Education has instructed all governmental and private educational institutions – kindergartens, schools, and universities – to transition to digital platforms for their educational processes. This shift is implemented as a precautionary measure, forming part of the Ministry’s approved contingency plan.

“All educational institutions wishing to inquire or seek support in managing their operations can communicate with the Ministry and the Board of Higher Education through the official, authorized communication channels as usual,” stated the announcement.
