Muscat: The 28-year-old Indian opener climbed to the top after South Africa’s captain Laura Wolvaardt lost ground in the latest update, dropping 19 rating points to fall into a joint-second position with England’s Nat Sciver-Brunt.

Mandhana’s surge follows a standout performance in the recent tri-series final in Colombo, where she smashed her 11th ODI century against Sri Lanka and South Africa. Her consistency with the bat has pushed her rating past Wolvaardt, who managed modest scores of 27 and 28 in South Africa’s recent outings against the West Indies.

Elsewhere in the rankings, several players have made significant moves. South Africa’s Tazmin Brits jumped five places to 27th, while Sune Luus climbed seven spots to 42nd. West Indies duo Shemaine Campbelle (now 62nd) and Qiana Joseph (equal 67th) also saw gains in the batting charts.

In the bowling rankings, West Indies spinner Afy Fletcher made a big leap to 19th after taking four wickets in her side’s recent game against South Africa. South Africa’s Nonkululeko Mlaba and Chloe Tryon also moved up six spots each, with Mlaba additionally gaining 11 places to reach 35th in the ODI all-rounders list.

England’s Sophie Ecclestone continues to lead the ODI bowling rankings, maintaining her position at the top.
