BEIJING: The Chinese embassy in Israel issued an urgent advisory on Tuesday, urging all Chinese nationals to leave the country “as soon as possible” due to the rapidly escalating conflict. The embassy recommended that those who are able to ensure their personal safety should exit through land border crossings, specifically suggesting Jordan as a viable route.

The warning follows a series of intensified hostilities, with Israel launching a surprise aerial offensive last week targeting Iranian facilities. Israeli officials claimed the strikes were intended to thwart Iran’s alleged pursuit of nuclear weapons, an accusation Tehran continues to deny.

Beijing’s embassy emphasized the deteriorating conditions in its official statement on WeChat, warning that “much civilian infrastructure has been damaged, civilian casualties are on the rise, and the security situation is becoming more serious.”

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump has weighed in, urging Iran to return to nuclear negotiations after the recent Israeli strikes disrupted ongoing talks.
