TEHRAN: According to Iranian state television, quoting a senior official, Tehran is preparing to launch what could be its largest strike yet on Israel since the beginning of the ongoing hostilities. The announcement signals a turning point in the confrontation, which has intensified with both nations exchanging heavy firepower.

Overnight, Iranian forces targeted an Israeli oil refinery and inflicted damage on sections of the country’s power grid. In several areas, explosions lit up the skies, with residential buildings reportedly hit, raising fears of mounting civilian casualties.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced earlier that they had successfully destroyed over 120 Iranian missile launchers — approximately one-third of Iran’s arsenal — in what it described as a major defensive operation.
