SalamAir suspends flights to Iran, Iraq, Azerbaijan due to regional tensions

SalamAir has announced the temporary suspension of all flights to and from Iran, Iraq, and Azerbaijan until June 20, 2025, citing ongoing developments in the region.

Muscat: In an official notice, SalamAir stated that flights to and from the three countries have been cancelled effective immediately due to the current situation in the region. The suspension will remain in place until at least June 20, 2025, with the airline closely monitoring the situation.

Passengers travelling through Muscat with final destinations in Iran, Iraq, or Azerbaijan will not be accepted for travel from their original departure points until further notice.

“We are closely monitoring the developments and will resume flights as soon as conditions allow,” the airline said.

All affected passengers will be contacted by the airline to discuss their travel options. SalamAir has also urged travellers to ensure their contact information is up to date by visiting the “Manage Booking” section on their website, to receive timely updates about flight changes.
