Oman launches new investor license e-service to boost business environment

As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance business environment and streamline investor services, OPAZ, in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, has launched the electronic investor license application service.

MUSCAT – According to OPAZ (Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones), the user-friendly digital solution enables investors to manage their transactions efficiently and transparently, while expediting permit issuance and unlocking new investment opportunities.

“This initiative reflects the strategic shift toward digital transformation and underscores the Authority’s commitment to improving competitiveness, increasing the attractiveness of economic zones, free zones, and industrial cities, and fostering a flexible business environment aligned with modern investment aspirations,” stated the OPAZ announcement.

The Investor License comes with a 24-month validity period, a 24-hour processing time, and carries a fee of RO 200. It is accessible through the Ministry of Labour’s e-services portal: https://mol.gov.om/ManpowerAllEServices.
