JERUSALEM : The confirmation came via IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi, who stated on social media platform X: “The IAEA is closely monitoring the deeply concerning situation in Iran. The Agency is in contact with Iranian authorities regarding radiation levels. We are also in contact with our inspectors in the country.”
The strike marks a significant development in the long-standing tensions between Israel and Iran over nuclear proliferation. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu acknowledged the operation, stating that Israel had struck both “nuclear and military sites” inside Iran.
