BANGKOK : Flight AI 379, which departed from Phuket International Airport at 9:30 AM local time en route to New Delhi, was diverted shortly after takeoff following reports of a bomb threat, according to information released by the airport and cited by Reuters.
The aircraft has since landed safely back at Phuket International Airport, where emergency protocols were immediately activated.
According to a statement on the airport’s official Facebook page, the authorities have implemented the bomb threat procedures in line with their Airport Contingency Plan (ACP).
