Dubai: The Ministry of Planning, Development in Pakistan has launched the URAAN Summer Scholars programme, a six-week, fully funded internship designed for high-achieving Pakistani students living abroad.

The initiative invites participants to work directly with policymakers and gain practical experience in governance through the URAAN Pakistan 5Es framework: Exports, E-Pakistan, Environment, Energy, and Equity & Empowerment.

This event recognises the valuable potential of the Pakistani disperson, who possess strong educational backgrounds and international exposure. By involving them in national development, URAAN aims to bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to Pakistan’s key challenges.

It also offers participants a meaningful way to reconnect with their roots and contribute to shaping their country’s future.

Beyond influencing policy, URAAN seeks to build stronger ties between overseas Pakistanis and national institutions. It encourages a culture of return, service, and collaboration among the younger generation, fostering lasting connections between global expertise and local progress.
