KUWAIT CITY : The Ministry of Education in Kuwait has reported 17 digital accounts and online groups across platforms like X, Telegram, and WhatsApp to the Cybercrime Combating Department for circulating fake exam content and spreading misinformation ahead of the 2024–2025 academic year final exams.

Authorities say these actions were intended to undermine the integrity of the examination process. The ministry emphasized that it is fully committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, and secure testing environment.

Strict rules have been laid out, and students are warned that any violation of exam regulations will be met with firm accountability measures. The ministry stressed that compliance with these rules is essential to uphold the credibility of Kuwait’s educational system.

To prevent further breaches, the ministry is coordinating with security agencies to monitor digital platforms throughout the exam period, pledging immediate action against any rumour-mongering, disruption, or unauthorized content leaks.

Students have been reminded to avoid bringing mobile phones or smart devices into examination halls and to follow the guidelines issued by their examination committees. Parents and students are also urged to rely solely on official sources for exam-related updates, with a clear warning against the dangers of misinformation.
