Dubai: The Nationals Defaulted Debts Settlement Fund (NDDSF) announced the move as part of a broader initiative championed by Sheikh Mohamed and closely followed up by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court.
The initiative, which supports the UAE’s vision for sustainable development, aims to ease financial burdens on citizens—especially retirees and those on social security—while reinforcing the country’s values of unity, dignity, and support for those in need.
According to the Fund, 132 pensioners with debts exceeding Dh86.476 million and 90 social security beneficiaries with debts totaling over Dh53.403 million are set to benefit from the exemption. This move is designed not only to alleviate immediate financial strain but also to promote long-term family stability and quality of life.
