Muscat – The delegation will be headed by Eng. Hamoud bin Salem Al Saadi, Second Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of OCCI and Chairman of the Commercial Excellence Centre Committee.
This participation comes within the framework of the Chamber’s efforts to enhance the presence of Omani brands in regional and global markets, and to open promising horizons for trade and investment cooperation – particularly in the commercial franchise sector, which is witnessing rapid growth in Iraq.
The Chamber’s pavilion at the exhibition includes more than 15 leading Omani brands, seeking to explore franchising opportunities and enter the Iraqi market.
Eng. Hamoud Al Saadi explained that the Chamber’s participation in the Iraqi Franchise Exhibition is in line with its strategic directions to improve the business environment and expand economic diversification in line with Oman Vision 2040.
He emphasized the importance of registering Omani trademarks outside the Sultanate of Oman, as it is an essential element for protecting intellectual property, ensuring the sustainability of investments, and enhancing trust with business partners abroad.
The Iraqi Franchise Expo is a prominent event bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, franchise companies, and local and international agencies, with the goal of providing exceptional opportunities for expansion and growth in a competitive business environment in the Iraqi market.
The exhibition provides an opportunity to explore new markets, helping companies increase their sales and expand their customer base. It also enables direct interaction between participating brands and visitors, helping them familiarize themselves with the products and services offered and enhancing brand awareness.
It’s worth noting that Oman’s “Seven Fries,” the first Omani brand specialising in fresh French fries, will open two new branches in Iraq as part of its international expansion through a franchise program. These branches will be located in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and in the city of Erbil in the Kurdistan Region.
