Muscat – The mission was seen off at the Muscat International Airport by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Said Al Ma’amari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs.

The mission, headed by His Excellency Ahmed bin Saleh Al-Rashidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, is scheduled to head to the mission’s headquarters in Makkah upon arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.

During its presence in Makkah and Madinah, the Oman Hajj Mission will serve Omani pilgrims, residents, and other guests of God, and supervise their smooth and easy performance of the rituals.

The mission consists of a delegation from the Fatwa and Religious Guidance Department, an administrative and financial delegation, a delegation overseeing Hajj companies, a medical delegation, a delegation from the Royal Oman Police, a delegation from the State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority, a media delegation, and a scout delegation.

The head of the Omani Hajj mission confirmed during a press conference held last week that the readiness of the Mina and Arafat camps is proceeding according to the contract with the company. He added that the two camps will include some additional improvements that are expected to provide a suitable atmosphere for performing the rituals and contribute to mitigating some of the challenges imposed by the circumstances of the place and time, as they are temporary camps prepared seasonally to receive pilgrims.

It is worth noting that the number of pilgrims from the Sultanate of Oman this year, 1446 AH, reached 14,000 pilgrims, including 13,530 Omani pilgrims and 470 resident pilgrims. The number of licensed Hajj companies this year reached 31 companies.
