PARIS: The move allows the 32 participating teams to bolster their squads ahead of the tournament, which kicks off on June 14 in the United States.

FIFA confirmed that member federations representing clubs in the Club World Cup will be permitted to open a special transfer period from June 1 to 10. This window gives clubs the opportunity to sign and register new players, who can then join their teams in the U.S. for the competition, running from June 14 to July 13.

The governing body also revealed that the final squad submission deadline is June 10, 2025. This allows clubs just over a week to complete signings and submit their rosters, ensuring all new acquisitions can participate in the prestigious global event.

In a further update, FIFA announced a second transfer window will open from June 27 to July 3. This additional period aims to help clubs manage expiring contracts and maintain a competitive edge throughout the tournament.

“The goal is to encourage clubs and players whose contracts are expiring to find a suitable solution to enable them to participate. This will also enable clubs to include their best players, in addition to new players, in the competition,” FIFA stated.
