MUSCAT : In a public notice released on Monday, the Central Blood Bank in Bausher called for plasma donations from A+ blood type donors to aid a critical patient requiring substantial plasma transfusions daily. The department stressed the pressing nature of the situation and urged eligible donors to step forward without delay.
Simultaneously, a separate plea was made for O+ blood type donors to contribute platelets today in support of a patient undergoing a critical liver transplant procedure. Timely platelet transfusion is essential for the success of the surgery and the patient’s recovery.
Donors are encouraged to head to the Central Blood Bank in Bausher as soon as possible.
