Muscat – The agreement was signed by Maj Gen Abdullah bin Ali Al Harthy, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations and Chairman of CDAA’s Board of Directors, and Zaher bin Saeed Al Rashdi, CEO of the implementing company.
According to a statement from the National Committee for Emergency Management, the centre step aims to provide a safe and fully equipped environment to shelter those affected by natural disasters and exceptional circumstances. It also reflects the Sultanate of Oman’s commitment to developing relief and shelter infrastructure and its readiness to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, in addition to providing humanitarian and logistical support. It also aims to enable the society to overcome the repercussions of disasters and restore normal life as quickly as possible.
