Muscat: Brent crude futures rose by 17 cents, or 0.26%, to settle at $64.70 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude climbed 18 cents, or 0.29%, reaching $61.80 per barrel.
The market regained footing after the United States and China agreed earlier this week to a 90-day truce in their ongoing trade dispute. As part of the agreement, both countries will significantly reduce tariffs, offering relief to investors concerned about the impact of the conflict on global economic growth and energy demand.
