Commenting on the colocation of the OPES and Oman Sustainability Week, he emphasised the importance of a unified front, stating, “We have combined this year the Oman Sustainability Week with the Petroleum and Energy Show, because we realised that most of the participating companies, speakers, and the topics discussed are almost the same. It created a huge momentum…”

The Minister further elaborated on the commitment to sustainability demonstrated at the event. “Last night, we recognised more than 44 organisations, government, academia, private sector, for those who demonstrated sustainability in their businesses and their practices. We expect that number to grow year on year. All of them received reports on areas they can improve on,” he added.
