Muscat – The Ministry clarified that there is no truth to the rumours claiming that citizens must update their ‘usufruct residential’ data within three days via a specified link, or face suspension of electronic services.
“We assure our valued beneficiaries that the information being circulated regarding updating residential land application data is incorrect. We ask everyone to verify the accuracy of information and refer to the Ministry’s official sources,” stated the Ministry’s clarification.
The false message, dated May 11, 2025, has raised concerns among landowners, prompting the Ministry to clarify that no such urgent data update request has been issued. “For your safety, please do not deal with what is being circulated regarding updating land ownership data. To ensure that all your data is linked to your civil ID in a correct and secure manner, please verify the information and obtain it from the official channels of the Ministry,” the statement added.
