Muscat – The wind activity has raised chances of rising dust and reduced horizontal visibility, particularly in desert and open regions.
According to the latest data, the Mahout station recorded the highest wind speed at 25 knots, followed closely by Fahud and Qarn Alam, each reporting speeds of 23 knots. Other affected areas include Mudhaybi and Masirah (25 and 22 knots respectively), with multiple stations noting speeds above 16 knots.
Oman Meteorology explained that this surface wind activity is the primary cause for the expected deterioration in air quality and visibility in exposed regions.
