Muscat – In a statement issued, the ROP said: “The Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations, in coordination with the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), has arrested a resident of Egyptian nationality who was found to be involved with an international network in carrying out multiple migrant smuggling operations from various countries to European countries in exchange for financial payments.”
The ROP reiterated its firm commitment to combating transnational organized crime in all its forms, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in preserving public safety and upholding the rule of law.
