Muscat – The prestigious event will culminate on Thursday, April 10, at the Al Fulaij Track in the Wilayat of Barka.
The event is organised by the Royal Court Affairs, represented by the Royal Camel Corps.
On the final day of the His Majesty the Sultan’s Camel Cup Festival, six rounds will be held, including the fifth round for yearlings, the winner of which will be crowned with the His Majesty the Sultan Camel Cup.
The race will include a number of Omani heritage songs, in addition to a number of camel shows performed by the Royal Camel Corps.
It is pertinent to note that the organisation of His Majesty the Sultan’s Camel Cup Festival is an affirmation of the royal support and interest in the camel sector and its related activities and events, considering it an authentic Omani heritage that must be preserved. It also encourages those interested in this sector to acquire and preserve pure Omani breeds, ensuring their continuity and transmission to future generations
