CPA launches regulatory campaign to address high complaint sectors across Oman

The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has launched an extensive regulatory campaign targeting sectors across the Sultanate of Oman that have recorded the highest rates of complaints and reports from consumers

Muscat – The initiative aims to enhance compliance, improve quality standards, and reduce future violations within these key areas.

The primary objectives of the campaign include:

• Monitoring and tracking sectors and activities with the highest recorded rates of complaints and reports, increasing the coverage rate of inspected institutions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
• Limiting violations, raising quality levels, improving standards, and reducing infractions.
• Enhancing transparency in commercial transactions, and increasing legal and procedural awareness among workers and suppliers alike, thereby reducing complaints, reports, and violations in the future
The sectors targeted by this campaign include:
• Goods and Services
• Heavy and Mobile Equipment and Machinery
• Vehicles, Spare Parts, and Repair Services
• Ships, Boats, Bicycles, and Motorcycles
• Electrical and Electronic Appliances
• Industrial Workshops for Blacksmithing
• Trade and Aluminium
