Muscat – The individuals were caught hunting monitor lizards, an act that contravenes the provisions of the Law on Nature Reserves and Wildlife Conservation (6/2003), which is designed to protect the region’s diverse wildlife.
The Environment Authority confirmed the arrests in a statement released today, emphasising their commitment to enforcing wildlife protection laws within the Sultanate.
Legal measures are currently being taken against them in accordance with the applicable regulations and legislation.
