Oman announces general education diploma results with 80.76% success rate

Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibani, Minister of Education, has approved the general indicators for the General Education Diploma (GED) results for the first term of the 2024/2025 academic year, with an overall success rate of 80.76% across Oman.

MUSCAT : A total of 54,943 students sat for the General Education Diploma exams, while other specialized diploma programs recorded even higher success rates:

Private Schools (Bilingual): 91.05% success rate from 1,577 students

Royal Guard of Oman Technical College (Bilingual): 100% pass rate from 43 students

General Education and Islamic Sciences Diploma: 100% pass rate from 121 students

Special Education Diploma: 88.52% pass rate from 61 students

General Vocational and Technical Education Diploma: 99.27% pass rate from 138 students

Students can access their results starting Sunday at 4:00 PM through:

SMS Service: Send a text message with the seat number to 90200 (via Omantel, Ooredoo, and Vodafone)

Education Portal: Results will also be available later on the Sultanate of Oman’s Education Portal

Exams were conducted across 366 examination centers in all governorates, with the Ministry of Education ensuring strict adherence to regulations. However, 20 violations of exam protocols were recorded, with appropriate penalties enforced under Ministerial Resolution No. (588/2015) after thorough investigation.

Students who wish to request re-correction of exam papers can do so via the Oman Education Portal from March 9 to 16, 2025. No requests will be accepted after this deadline.
